Jack and Jill. Who came up with their heads BREAKING?

Actually, that was his CROWN.

And it was about the fall of a king or something.

A crown is another word for a head...

Actually its the back part of your head that kind of comes out and then goes into your neck...

Humpty Dumpty.
Why is he always portrayed as an egg? Who ever said that he was an EGG? What if he isn't an egg?

Nobody ever said he was an egg. Someone just thought he was, somehow.
Who the heck names eggs anyway?

Re: Most Disturbing Children's Songs

That's true, all they said in the song was that they couldn't put him back together again, and that could mean anything, not just an egg. Wonder how the egg came about then...

Re: Most Disturbing Children's Songs

Humpty Dumpty was actually a cannon.
Jack and Jill were some terrible royalists.
Ring a Ring a Roses was actually a Middle Ages song about love.

But in my opinion, Old Mother Hubbard disturbs me about the portrayal of being poor. Did the dog die?

Re: Most Disturbing Children's Songs

The cannon was an urban legend/tourist ploy. Last paragraph of that section.
To my knowledge, Ring a Ring a Roses was about the Plague.
