GUI/code toggle?
I think there should be a button in the corner of the screen that toggles the view between the Scratch GUI and code.

I think I've seen this somewhere, and to be honest, I don't think it's going to happen.
I haven't experimented with this yet, but i think you can access the source code by using the Shift-Click R. I don't know, but I'm not going to try it.
Also, having the option to view the code will take away from the friendly UI of Scratch. It might help some experienced users, but I haven't seen many of them.
To a lot of people, it would be considered useless. Sorry.
