I still don't see the point of actually going up to family members and telling them "so, I'm a brony." No need to announce it. If you want to be open about it, be so, watching it casually, maybe even mentioning it at times, and if anyone asks then give your reasons to like the show. I insist; it's not something big you're supposed to announce.

Do you announce being a part of any other fandom as well? "Hey Mom, lately I've been reading some Superman comics and I like them." Not much point in it, right? tongue
