Two SDS curators are chosen every four months. JustAnotherFace and angelica101 were just chosen, so if you're interested, you can apply in November.

We usually check people out and then ask them. However, we like to know who's interested in it, although we don't want people bowing under us constantly asking us. 
We also try to find people that are different; we want girls, boys, iPads and people from all different cultures to have diversity.
