Well, for starters, the PC version is better in every single aspect possible. There's so much MORE to it--so many MORE options. The PC version is so much more dynamic. There's more blocks to use, more tools, more mobs and NPCs, the list goes on and on.

The Pocket Edition, on the other hand, is horribly limited, and just plain sucks. It's NOTHING like the PC version, so if you think playing Pocket Edition but not playing the PC version makes you a Minecraft player, then you're wrong. The only way you can be a true MC player is if you own (not pirate, but actually OWN and buy it) the PC version.

If you own an Xbox, and are looking to get Minecraft, the Xbox Edition is actually a good option. The Xbox version is not totally limited like Pocket Edition. The Xbox version doesn't have all the new things the PC version has currently, because the Xbox version is a port of an older version of the PC game. But I still highly recommend the Xbox version.

Also, on another note, PCs ARE the same thing as Mac. PC stands for "personal computer", and a Mac would also count as a "personal computer". So you can play Minecraft on a Mac--the Mac version is pretty much the same exact thing. In fact, if you have a MacBook Pro, consider yourself lucky, since Minecraft will usually run like a beast on those things.
