Portfowarding is required for non-hamachi. Its usually really easy. I suggest you try to do it.

Yeah no. It's not as easy as you say.
It actually is. The only problem you may have is trying to get access to your router. After that, it's pretty easy--just look for a port forwarding tutorial on YouTube and you should be good to go!

It doesn't work well on google chrome or safari because it has the http:// before the ip.

did you enter 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or did you enter 68.248.227.112?
Cause you have to enter 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (it depends on your router which one you enter, so try both). You will then be prompted for the network username and password, and then idk what's after that.

I used what the site said: 25565. And it says failed to bind to port and that a server maybe was already bound to that port. So I guess I'll just not have a server.

try this before you quit:
set the port in server.propertys to :25565
