Really...... How do you get featured projects? Do you have to advertise your project so the team can see it? I just submitted a project to the telephone gallery, and I think once I did that the Scratch team looked at my profile and then the day after that my project was featured. (It's called television). So......

Honestly, I have no idea.
Looking over the list of the projects that have been featured, I think I have been wasting my time polishing my projects before posting them. It does not appear that quality of graphics or quality of scripts counts for much in the eyes of the judges.
I would like to be featured one day, but in order to do so, I really need to rethink my project strategy.

OK, seriously, I have no idea, but here's my guess:
I think originality counts for more than anything when it comes to getting featured. Even if your project has major bugs in it and the graphics look horrible you can still be featured if your game or idea is original.
So, if you want to be featured, don't bother remixing other people's projects... don't bother making another ___fill_in_the_blank*____ game. Just try to come up with an original idea, something that no one has ever done before and work on that.
*=RPG, space shooter, asteroids, pacman, card game, scroller, shooter, drawings of cats, etc. They've all be done to death.

Nope.
The Scratch Team strongly supports remixing.

Take a look at this topic here...it will give you a good idea of what the Team is looking for

and BoltBait...it's not that you don't have great projects...it just that they don't need Featuring to get them seen...they usually end up on the Front Page anyway

Meh..... I've never been on front page....

A project is under the "Featured" section when it's picked by the Scratch Team for various reasons.

I see other featured projects by "fameous" scratchers. I also see people that have had more than one featured project.
But, now I understand that just because a project is featured it doesn't mean "this was the best project we could find", it just means "we think you should look at this one".
Hopefully, one day, I will come up with an idea that the Scratch Team feels that other people should see.

Well, looking over the list of featured projects, I didn't see any remixed projects.
(I didn't actually look too closely. But, none of the ones I looked at were remixed.)

In order to get featured a member of the scratch team has to view your project and decide weather or not it deserves do be featured. A good way for the scratch team view your project is, In the Show and tell section of the Forums the is a sticky forum called “Propose projects to be featured (experimental)” which is where scratchers can recommend projects to be featured. You can not recommend your own projects but you can ask someone else to recommend you project, and if the scratch team thinks it should be featured they will feature it. Hope one of your projects gets featured boogawk

Usually quality remixes (the ones that get featured) are the projects that remixed the idea of another project, aka were inspired by another project.
I agree, it is very hard to find a remix project that is good at the same time.

This is kind of sad how everyone wants to be famous... maybe we should all band together and UNITE!!! Ok, i tried that once and it didn't work...
aren't there some requirements, like number of loveits or downloads or favoritized?

There are requirements, but they work in reverse.
For example, your project can't be featured if it gets over 5 love its.

A few of the requirements are flexible.

If your project can have no more than 5 love-its and ends up with more than 5 love-its when it's featured, will it immediately be removed from featured projects?
Oh and also can a featured project be in top loved or top viewed or top remixed?

A project is never removed once it's featured. Projects that are or were on the front page would not be featured, unless they made it to the Tops after being featured.
