It's just that all a collaboration needs is one topic. If you absolutely needed more you could make a gallery or website.
It's just to reduce clutter on the Collaboration forums. Imagine if every collaboration had several threads. Then, it'd be extremely hard to navigate to the right thread.

Since Platform is really taking it's time, I thought we could work on another game too.
What I was thinking of was making a game based on Nitrome's Hot Air
I have already made an engine for it here
