NOTE: I don't know anywhere else to put this, so... yeah.
This is a forum all about Pi! no, not the food, the circumference (spelling correct?) of a circle. Just talk about it, or show how much of it you know. I know... 14 digits. not many, but oh well. Here-> 3.141592653589.
LET THE PI TALK BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!

wasnt there already a topic about this somewhere? and wouldnt a single "math" topic be the best way to go?

Um... 3.14159265358979. 15 digits. Also, that's 13 digits, bobby, unless you're counting the point.

I have 500 digits of pi on my kindle, so I can try memorize them every time I read, though I only memorized 160 (not including the 3 in the beginning). Lots of times my friends ask me why I memorize pi. I have some reasons:
1. Breaking the world record: The record is currently 400,000... Oh man... That's a lot of digits... I don't think I'll try.... On to reason 2, because reason 1 isn't good enough.
2. Accuracy: Did you know that pi calculated out to only 39 decimal places would allow one to compute the circumference of the entire universe to the accuracy of less than the diameter of a hydrogen atom? Oh, I already passed that limit. I guess I need a better reason...
3. Annoying my friends: For some reason it's satisfying to annoy friends by reciting digits of pi: "Do that again and I'll recite 161 digits of pi!!!" For some reason this has been losing it's effect lately... So... Uh...
I have to get a new hobby.
