Hey everyone!
Just a quick question, you know the cloud variables?
Does it save them to the file or to the database, either way, could a scratch project run on your own site, with it hosted on the different site, server?
Thanks!

I'm guessing that cloud variables will only work on the Scratch website.

Scratch 2.0 uses javascript allot, you can use the 2.0 project editor right now, just with one line of javascript. They unlocked the paint editor as well.

I noticed they slightly changed the block creator thing and they made it possible to put reporter blocks in the broadcast blocks.

it seems that in the code there is the following constant in the persistanceManager class:
private const server:String = "alpha.scratch.mit.edu";
so i'd assume you can make your own server.
more info
port 1337 is used for data transfer
