I've been experimenting with the ScratchSkin and Photoshop, and did this:
I figured that entire THEMED versions of Scratch could be made this way, so I am taking this task to make my first theme, Nature.
Scratch with a different theme will still work the same, and you can still upload to the site without any errors, as it's only the appearance of images in the source that change!
If anyone would like to be part of "Project Themed Scratch: Nature", whether it be designing images or coming up with ideas, or both, please post what you would like to help with, and check back at 9 PM Eastern Standard Time for updates.
We are using a point system called PTS pts (Project Themed Scratch points) which is explained here: (link to project)

Sure! I updated the list. Basically, you download the ScratchSkin and change some elements in Photoshop or another image editing program to make the "nature" theme. When you're finished, share it on SpeedyShare and post the link in this topic. I will then add it to the new Nature-themed Scratch.
Edit: lallaway12, I see you've updated your sig to advertise this topic! 200 PTS pts (Project Themed Scratch points) for you!

Hey there Scratchers! Look at this cool connector I made for Project Themed Scratch: Nature!
(Pun Ahead: This idea seems to be blossoming!)
P.S., gwas6, can you please post what you would like to do? (images, advertising, ideas, etc.)
P.P.S., if anyone else would like to join, the more the merrier!

This is nice. I am making a Scratch modification (on my own) that has themes, which I am using GIMP to make. I always have loads of things to do on the computer, so it is very slow development though.

Seems interesting-I'm not too swayed by the nature theme but I'll keep an eye on this for any I do like the look of. c:
After nature, I had the idea of doing a space theme...
And lallaway12, nice touch on the "bigFolderIcon"! I have added it to PTS: Nature, and you get 200 PTS pts (Project Themed Scratch points). If you could maybe apply the same effect to the 6 smaller folder icons in the ScratchSkin, that would be awesome!

Sort of. But it isn't exactly like this. It's just little things such as less curvy edges on the paint editor... Things like that. We will have a bunch of skins that can then be selected in a menu at the top. So that way one mod can have multiple looks. You could do that, too, as long as you give credit to OUSC (Once Upon Some Code).

PTS: Nature... the logo!
Ta-dah! Fellow Scratchers, it's one small step for cat, one giant leap for cat-kind.

PTS: Nature members (and anyone who would like to join), I'm announcing a contest. You know those two images in the ScratchSkin, "locked" and "unlocked"? In the next 4 days, the person who uploads the best nature-ized version of those two images gets 1000 PTS pts (Project Themed Scratch points)!

Why would one have to give credit for a skin selector unless they used the code?

Nope! It will be for Mac and Windows! (and Linux, if I discover how to download Scratch for Linux onto a Mac)
Are you thinking of joining?

Credit for the idea. It would only be a minor little bit of credit, though.

Two things:
1. Slash was the first mod to use a skin selector, so according to your own rules, OUSC must give credit to them.
2. PTS was never even using the idea of a skin selector in the first place.
