Re: Astro947

I dont understand why everyone's making a huge deal out of this. People quit, that's how this site works. Sure he's a very good animator and is a close member of our community, but we really shouldn't make such a fuss about it.

Well, uhhh..... how do I say this........ I in all honesty have no reason to feel sad except because a Scratcher is leaving. I didn't really watch Astro's stuff.

But what if I don't want to? Just because I didn't watch his stuff? I never felt interested in it

Re: Astro947

like Wes said, don't make such a fuss about it. He wants to move on, let him move on. I doubt he wants to hear all this. Just let him leave. You don't want him to be stuck on this primary programming language because all you people made him stay. Or DO you want to make him feel bad about it, so he stays here forever?

People, just don't make a big deal -_- I watch Astro too, but i really don't mind that he is quitting. I mean, its his decision. If he's going to, then let it go.

Re: Astro947

Astro947 was a great Scratcher that came and went. Don't make such a fuss about it because in a few months to a few years, people will stop mourning and forget about him. Such as archmage, he quit, and many people have forgotten him, or at least stopped mourning about him. Astro947 will soon enough be the same.

It's understandable if you'll miss him, but all you're doing is making it really dramatic.

Re: Astro947

Maxdoss is right, it is an opinion that Astro is the best Scratcher ever. And, people really shouldn't make a fuss about it, like Wes said. Astro is just a Scratcher. But it IS okay to make something nice for him, like this project I made (Link below):

Re: Astro947

Talking about moving on...

For me, I may not even quit Scratch.  It is a great programming language that's just too good to pass up.  When I learn other languages, I might just "Scratch-ify" them (i.e. make those programming languages into Scratch blocks format or a similar format) and revolutionize programming!

The world right needs revolutions (two reasons include purging corrupt governments in different nations across the world and improving the general economy of the world), but we need to be careful how we change, so then there wouldn't be another disaster like the Chinese Cultural Revolution (1966 to 1976) or the French Revolution (1789 to 1799).  We need to preserve history so then we can keep an open mind, learn from the mistakes of the past, and not repeat the mistakes of the past.

Sorry for all of that "revolutionist-like" talk, I felt that those things were important.
