Oh, you're suggestion is not rude at all.  smile  Unfortunately, in cases where content is blocked based on age, people often fake their ages to get around an age limit requirement, making the age requirement not very effective.  sad

As Paddle2See said before, the clincher is that Scratch was designed to be an all-ages website, so it needs to be viewable by all ages, including the very young ones who interact with the website.

On this website I put in a false birth date to be over 100.  tongue

What if... you can only view your own banned projects. Say user BLANK has a banned project created by BLANK or themself they could implement like if BLANK is the one viewing his project like the disable comments or the check for favoriters that only pops up if it is the users own project .. then you can download it for personal use that way no one else can get it or download it without it being the user who created it.

If you saved the project on your computer you can view it.

did you read the first post of this i havent had that computer for over 2 years.

I think there are projects that are too explicit, beyond what is actually being a game of gore that and some sexual content you can not post on this page...Best of all would place an age warning

Well, too bad, the games were banned for a reason. If you think they were removed unfairly you should have contacted the Scratch Team.

Not a good idea, little kids could view the  banned projects in the banned area anyway. no offense there.

Yes, and doing this would actually encourage viewership of those projects.

My suggestion is: Have an age limit on the banned area, and, upon registration, leave a cookie on the new user's computer that stores information concerning previous registrations made using a later date of birth (so that they can't try and re-register as an older user). If this were true, I would support.

Most likely, they won't know how to do that. An alternative would be to store the IP address and the necessary information in a database, where it can't be deleted by an external source.

If it was deleted, it was because it was inappropriate for all ages, despite what some people may tell you.

I sort of think we could have a option to see the deleted stuff friends had. Since HiddenMario on here deleted most of his cool projects, and now he doesn't have really much.

But someone would figure this out, and then register on every website to be older than they actually are.

Also, the ability to see banned stuff might get parents upset. Upset parents = their sons & daughters can't go on Scratch = significantly reduced community.

So, I'm not quite sure I like this idea  smile

I'v never seen a moderator censored.  lol  I totally agree with coolstuff, though.

For the last time, IT DOESN"T MATTER.  This is a kids site, and the Scratch Team are never gonna let us do that.  No matter what.  NO inappropiate content is allowed, warning or not.  If you make anything like that, I will still flag, even if there is a warning.  Also, check your spelling.  I can't read anything.

Re: banned games

Here's an analogy. If you shout "Im going to stab you" and then you stab someone, it doesn't matter if you gave them a warning, you're still going to go to jail. Same thing with projects -- just because you give a warning doesn't mean the project will not be removed.
