Scratch Is So Slow And Window Resizing Problems For Windows

Im running a windows vista 64-bit PC along with 4 GB of RAM and scratch is so lagy when im testing out my project called "Snake OS" it does it with every project i do. Ive done everything i can to try and fix it and it wont work. (Im sorry if this is the wrong part of the forums).
And this just started happening today (2012-07-14).

Try re-installing  Scratch.

Maybe your computer is doing a scan or something. what other programs are running?
