Re: The Walruses - A Beatles Tribute Band on Scratch

Considering most people will be sitting in front of their computer...

What is A/L course?

That's why i took ownership of the account before anyone else did  tongue

Yeah, I was trying to improvise a bit on the sig. XD

And, I actually never heard of that concert. When and where was it?

I've actually played some of DIY's games long before Frozen Coco started, that's how I got to know him in the first place. Man, those Harry Potter games were super awesome.  tongue

It was very recent really. It was held in London and featured the famous Bruce Springsteen. Thanks for the compliment about my games! We've been friends on Scratch for well almost three years I believe! We've come a long way since then.

@jji7skyline: You don't have to have played them for me to be popular I suppose.  hmm

And A/L course means the Advanced Level examination syllabus I'll be following from the next academic year (starting this September). I shall be completing my A/Levels in 2014.

Re: The Walruses - A Beatles Tribute Band on Scratch

So is that the exam you take to go to a college or something? We have something similar in Australia, but not in my state.

True. I don't like Harry Potter either, so that's probably another reason I've never encountered one of your projects before.

Yup, A/Level is basically your final major exam at school (the previous being Ordinary Level). Then you go off to college. I heard before too that they did away with a similar exam in Australia a while back.

Yeah, I guess any non-Harry Potter fan will find it hard to follow as I am forced to leave out major stuff due to space limitations on Scratch.

I was a huge Harry Potter geek when I first found DIY's projects. XD

And about the concert, wow, I'm going to have to look that up.

EDIT - Oh, guys, by the way, according to this, it seems we got tied for best band at this year's Scratchers' Awards!  big_smile

And we weren't even trying xD

Any updates from cat person? Maybe he could even play the drums on the keyboard. It's not much different from playing a electronic drum kit like Necro did, except it's on a keyboard.

Re: The Walruses - A Beatles Tribute Band on Scratch

Do you have to audition?
If so, I'll try out for drums.
Otherwise, I want to be drums.

EDIT: Wait...
I cant sing for my life.
Sorry.

I'll be the art designer.

If you like, yes you can audition, but I'd rather if you recorded the drum track for 'Here comes the Sun' as soon as possible. Just play along with the original track.

It's ok if you can't sing, Ringo Starr rarely sang.

Hmm... That really is a surprise since we haven't really done anything yet.

I remain a huge HP geek! HP7 Part 2 was released 1 year and 2 days ago today, on July 15 2011, do you realise?  tongue

You don't have to sing at all really. Can you upload a track of you playing the song Here Comes the Sun (to the original tempo and very accurately) and upload it soon. Is it possible to do so this weekend?

Thanks, and I hope to hear your recording!  smile

It seems I'm always missing out on so much posts every day.  tongue

Well, anyway, it's great to see that wolvesstar is auditioning for drums! Looks like our sigs worked!

And, good idea, jji, on negativing ( tongue ) your sig - I kept confusing you with me around the forums. XD

I didn't expect us to win the award either - I suppose I should add that to the main post.

Also, I might make a video to post on YouTube of me drumming along to an entire Paul McCartney concert - just to show off my skills. And when I mean drumming, I actually mean patting on my knees (I don't own a drum kit xD), but in that respect, I'm extremely skilled.  tongue

My username is 'DIYmit', which doesn't have any videos yet because I have my own personal one (the one mentioned is for my upcoming Scratch game walkthroughs and my solo songs), so it will hardly be of use to you.  tongue

My personal one contains quite a few videos, but I'd prefer not to share it because I like to keep my identity concealed here.  smile

And I'm surprised we were tied. We don't exactly deserve it yet, I think it's fair to say!  lol

I know, I was rather surprised, too.  tongue  I guess people just like the concept.

And I don't yet have a YT account, but I was considering making one today. So my "drumming" video will be one of the first videos you might have to look out for. I was also considering drumming along to the Abbey Road Medley, since that's what we're doing, and I pretty much familiarized myself with the drum part (especially "Mean Mr. Mustard/Polythene Pam/She Came In Through the Bathroom Window"). That's also something you might see.  big_smile
