I've decided to quit when 2.0 comes out. I absolutely hate it.

Well, I think that 2.0 is a good idea, but the new website is NOT good. The way it works now is as good as it'll ever be. And if it causes so many people to quit, it shouldn't be implemented.

Don't worry, you can still use 1.4, and then open it up in 2.0 and publish it. This feature is tested and it works (by me).
But what about the website?

I've decided that I'll probably be less active when 2.0 comes out. I don't like it as much as 1.4.
Oh yeah, and my kuetion still hasn't been answered- will projects made in 1.4 still be usable in 1.4 when I download them from the 2.0 site?

There's always this.

if 2.0 has a similar costume-editing tab as 1.4, there need to be some minor changes.
-like being able to use the scroll wheel; in the editor, too
-and not returning to the top of the column after editing a costume or moving costumes.
I can't remember if 2.0 had these already.

I want a little bit of time before 2.0 comes out. Right now, I want to upload normal animations and games but once 2.0 comes out, the entire website will be filled with the new things and people won't focus on normal animations and games.

Yeah. I hope that at least a few people make normal projects.

I really hope it does not come out for a few months because now I have been making a bunch of normal projects to upload.

You probably will be able to have all those saved projects you worked on if you download 2.0.

Well, it'll be all facebooky and twittery and stuff and the forums will be different and it seems overpolished.

Then again, I haunt graveyards.

Interesting thread!
I totally get how many of you'd feel this way. In fact, I'll admit that I'm going to miss the old (current) site. Not because the new site won't be better - (I honestly believe it will be). But because we've all spent so much time on the site as it is now - and have grown to love it the way it is.
When I was 12 I moved from a house I'd lived in most of my life into a different one. In a lot of ways it was nicer: more space, newer, it even had more light. But I still totally missed the old one because I'd spent so much time growing up there, and the place meant so much to me.
So it doesn't matter if the place you are going is nicer - you are still leaving a place that you've really loved for a long time. I think it's a similar thing with the transition to 2.0. And while I think eventually it'll be awesome, in the short term it'll be tough - and to some extent, kind of sad (but also happy at the same time? I dunno, it's hard to explain..)
I've been thinking that we'll need to have some kind of sendoff for the old site - like a going away party. But I'm not sure what that should look like, or how it'd work. If any of you have ideas about that, please comment me about it.

Well said I believe the term you're looking for is 'melancholy'. I think we should have a SDS for saying good-bye to the old site!
