I don't know.
We should use Yoshiboy's game as a base, add the required engines(landing on planets, platforming physics, enemy ship engine. Then work on content

We can easily modify this for scrolling. It has perfect physics.

What should the platforming be? Player color sensing, Wall color sensing, Array, Level sensing, etc...
Please don't answer with "Yes".

My ideas:
Gameplay:
You fly around in space in your spaceship. There are asteroids that damage your ship, and enemy ships that try to shoot you. If you fly over a planet, press space to land on it. Each planet has three side-scrolling levels and a boss. If you have completed all the levels in a planet, it is highlighted green. If not, it is highlighted red. I think there should be at least 10 planets.
Shops?
In space, there should be "LunarMarkets" that are around planets. Fly over them and press space to enter them. Here, you should be able to buy things like Health packs and repair and upgrade your ship. You should start with $100... And each time you shoot down an enemy ship you should gain some money (depending on the ship type).
Enemies & Asteroids
An asteroid damages your ship if it hit's you. And you can shoot them to bits! Enemies should have different strengths... Depending on their ship. hey try to shoot you, so you have to shoot them.
Planets
On the planet should be 3 levels and a boss. Each planet looks different and is a different difficulty (*, **, or **) and has different looking aliens that you have to stay away from.
Just some random ideas. No need to use any of them.

I was outposted.
The movement is a little glitchy (at least on my computer), it's a little unresponsive.

True, so I'll make a list of what we need done:
Infinite 4 way scrolling engine: yes
Platforming engine: kind of
Enemy ship engine: none
"portals" system: none
Ship weapons, shields other systems: none
Trade system: none
Any more to add?
After we have this done then we add content, but getting a list of content, level etc would be a good thing.

Epic ideas, Yoshiboy!
Yea, maybe you could mine asteroids, to make it more of an RPG game. This does need some other aspects than a level game.
Going offline now, someone integrate the two engines and post the link. It'll be interesting to see just how big this game gets!

It's because of the rounded corners. I can take that out.

Greetings. The asteroids have a glitch... Can someone fix 'em?

Cool! The planets are knid of hard to find, though. Maybe an arrow for planets like 960< distance to you?

Could somebody give me a pic for how the website should be formatted?

Sure! Just a second...
You seem to be good at doing the space side if things, so if we just let you do that the other scripters should pick a task, say what they're doing and release an example. I'll be doing a bit of work on the planets today or tomorrow.
