Seriously, hackers are few and far between.
I should KNOW, virtually every server on the face of planet earth has anticheat plugins by the dozen.
From personal experience in attempting to hack.
Also, you have to pay for the nodus client now? I got it for free yikes

I'm just worried about the fact that anyone can download something off the Internet and destroy a server in less than 5 minutes. Also if so many servers had anti-cheat plugins how did they get griefed?

I use it on PVP servers that make me mad with greifing. I don't normally hack. I save it for when TSHTF.
