Infra-red company (once we get a few active members), will be made out of Scratchers who know somewhat about other programming languages that are used a lot (such as Flash, C++,Javascript, etc..). We will be working on projects that will help Scratchers get used to/get to know these programming languages. That way, the Scratchers who are here to start out programming, will be a little more comfortable moving on to more advanced programming languages.
If you want to join, just sign up on the form below, and you have to be active.

I don't think infared programming sounds better but I think that infrared sounds better. Thanks for the suggestion!

bump.
90 views not by me and nobody wants to join?

I think it's because not a lot of people know other programming languages (including me
), so maybe you should add a few more positions such as graphics, sound, etc.

Added in an "Other" section for graphics, music, etc...

Thanks for joining! I think we should wait until one or two more members join before making a project.

Okay, I can also program (in scratch) relatively well if we decide to make a game. I can't program or do graphics until august. I can also make a sig, in august.

Can I join as HTML, i have a bit of knowledge in HTML and I am coincidentally learning HTML right now, as well as PHP, XHTML, sql, and by the end I will learn Javascript and Python.
So I'll put you down in the "Any Knowledge" group for HTML, PHP, and SQL. Not XHTML because isn't that just HTML with proper end tags?

What should our first project be? I was thinking of making it be how to translate scratchblocks into javascript/HTML/CSS.

Isn't HTML a word editor thingy?
Yes, but, it's also the way to put in sprites and stages onto a website (also known as images, divs, or canvases).

I think that's a good idea but will we be displaying like the pic. of the block and then the script next to it or what?

I was thinking of doing one of the three things:
a.) use AtomicBawm3's scratchblock tutorial, change the description and examples to fit what the project is about, and put massive credit to AtomicBawm3.
b.) have people download a project with comments next to blocks saying how to do it in a different programming language
c.) Make a webpage that would have all this that we would put into a website.
Problems with a: We wouldn't be doing that much work and look bad.
Problems with b: see a.
Problems with c: I have no idea how to use weebly, 1freehosting, etc...

I use weebly...
Anyway, I think we should do it, from scratch (i mean like from nothing, pun not intended), in bursts, like control, motion, etc. That way, it wouldn't take too much work, and, we would complete it faster.

Like 8 different webpages, each for one of the categories?

Yes.
However, I need a picture for every single block. Also, if I create the site, you need to tell me what to write.

Or, we could make a project from scratch...
And all the blocks might not fit on one page. (for the site.)
