Position of show variable

The show variable block seems to have a mind of its own.
I've used go to x-y block before show variable but that seems to have no effect.
I've manually positioned the show variable on stage but that works momentarily. When you relaunch the Scratch software the position of variable has been lost.
Looks like the only thing show variable does is to list variables in order in upper left hand corner. I must be missing something. I would assume Scratch allows programmer to position the show variable block with value. Thanks

Re: Position of show variable

The only way to save a variables position, i to save the game with the variable where you want it, and with it showing  smile

Re: Position of show variable

Upon further investigation, you're both right.

Here's what I've learned and you can verify for yourself.
If you place variables on the screen, and save the program with the variables showing, then when you relaunch the program the variables are where you last put them as Daniel stated.
But if you hide the variables and then save the program, then upon return and you show the variables, they will be in the upper left hand corner.

Thanks for your help.
