Maybe projects on the front page could write up a brief and catchy description so the person who is about to view it will know what it's about.
Example:
FEATURED PROJECTS:
Capture the flag
keroro645
Grab a friend, a mouse, a lot of time,
and the flag because you're gonna need it!
God's quest
demosthenes
A guy, a god, and a sword... apparently
that's all you need to make a beastly
game like this!
Jail Break
bosox397
Now that you think about it, breaking out
of jail is pretty easy....except the fact that
there are cops everywhere!

Nice idea, putting a short description might help see what's the project about.

That would be great because then the curator can give a short paragraph about what the project is about and why they favorited it.

A short description can really help you understand what the project is about; sometimes I check out a project only to find it wasn't what I thought. But there also needs to be enough space for all the descriptions (though that shouldn't be a big problem).

Nice idea for me, but what if I own the project that Curator selected and I want to change the description?

well you can ask them and they could change it!

That could be possible but I think it is more logical for the curator to write there own description because they are the ones who chose it to be there favorite, they should know why they chose it and what it is about.

Hmm, published reviews by the curator? That's an interesting idea. Maybe there could be an extra widget text box underneath the project that only the current curator can access and edit, in which he types his/her review. Or maybe the curator could type the review in the form of a comment and then there's a link to that comment underneath the project saying 'see curator's review'.
Although, I might imagine this might be difficult to implement

Even if it is a hard element to implement, I do think it will be worthwhile.

You have very good descriptions... and I like the idea! It tells you what the project is all about, sort of like a review also.

A cool idea...I wonder how hard it would be to make something like that? Maybe it could be a mouse-over thing so it doesn't take up any more front page real estate. You hold your mouse over the project and a text box appears.
