Post amazing stories about any kind of pet-- as long as it's not "My dog threw up and it was AMAZING because I've never seen dog puke before lulz!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!"

Here's mine:
     When my grandpa was around, my grandparents had two dogs, Lucy and Linus, who were siblings. One morning, my grandpa died in his sleep. Linus barked until somebody woke up and saw him. After the paramedics took grandpa, both dogs got jittery when somebody went to leave the house.
     A year later, my aunt, who gave my grandma the dogs, came into town with my cousins for a week. This was rare and the dogs were very excited. a month or two after she left, she had an allergic reaction to a prescribed medicine and died. Next time my cousins came into town, the dogs realized that my aunt wasn't there. After that, when somebody left, instead of getting a bit nervous, they barked more.
     A couple years later, Linus got a kidney problem that's common to his breed. One day, my grandma had to go put him to sleep. Lucy saw that, when my grandma returned, her brother wasn't with her. Now, a few years later, when people leave, she follows them outside and barks a lot, runs around, and, if it's somebody she knows really well, nips a their ankles.
     This undying love that dogs have is truly amazing.
