Re: Vector graphics in scratch?

Vector graphics are good, even for animations. Flash is good example, you can create almost everything in it, and it works on vector graphics. In advanced vector graphic programs, you can link a bitmap into the image. Vector graphics can be even created from XHTML and HTML5 thanks for SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) which is a XML implementation of vectors... am I boring you?

Woo, even better minecraft clone! | I feel that programming is better than animation, because you can interact with games but not animations.

Seriously? Did you just write that?

One of Scratch 2.0's big differences is that it's losing Squeak, and using Flash.

And for everyone else, I thought that it was confirmed that they were using Vector Graphics.

-_- Did you check the date? It said that post was made back it 2009, 1.4 had just come out.

Anyways, it's not confirmed, but there's a possibility they'll use vector graphics in 2.0!

Re: Vector graphics in scratch?

Yeah. vector images seems like a good idea. I've worked with vector images before, I do graphic design for my school website and other stuff. Vector images work independent of zoom. That means that no matter how much you zoom in, It will get bigger, but it won't pixelate. This would be a great addition to Scratch 2.0, as it would mean that they'd work better on presentation mode![blocks]<set{ awesomeness }to( a lot[/blocks]

Be happy! Spring is coming! And spring cleaning...
