if the missing letters were "am" then i would agree that it should be censored. What i would do is just flag it.

In my opinion, putting asterisks in a swear doesn't make it any more appropriate

I'm afraid I'll have to agree, since people can easily fill in the blanks. In the occasion of this word though, whether or not it's bad depends on the context, but it's usually bad in this day and age.

Actually, I didn't. A dam is a barrier to obstruct the flow of water, especially one of earth, masonry, etc., built across a stream or river.

But like, I think the way it works is that it "writes out" the page, then searches it for any words that are on the censor list, and then replaces them. On the forums, that's how it works, but in comments, it only checks at the posting time. And at the posting time, the censor might not have been put into place.
Just flag these types if comments.
