Taking Sprites

I've recently played a project with a few sprites I really like the look of! I was thinking of importing the sprites into my own project. If I give proper credit, is this allowed?

Re: Taking Sprites

It would be best to ask the creator of the project.

Re: Taking Sprites

I'd assume so, but just ask whoever made the sprites if it's OK with them.  smile

Sure, that's fine. Scratch projects are covered under a CC license so you can use the media found in one project and use them in another. Just remember to give credit when credit is due.  smile

-> Contrary to the other posts above, there's no need to ask permission because of the CC license already grants it. Just give proper credit and you should be okay.  smile

Yes, when you upload a project to the Scratch website, it is automatically under the Creative Commons licence which means you can use anything in the project as long as it is not for commercial use and you also release your project under the same licence  smile
