After seeing The Amazing Spider-Man recently, I'm in a Spider-Man type mood! So, I'm going to continue my childhood dream, and make some web shooters! It will probably take me a few days, but I'll post a video when I'm done.

Post your blueprint too, so we can recreate it.

I'm not working from a blueprint. I don't do things like that. I just simply know how I'm going to make it.

What does it actually shoot? Silly string?
No. It will shoot an actual string (presuming it works). Though I haven't decided how to make it stick onto things.

I'm not sure. You need to sell these when you are finished though.

And have it stick to the wall forever once you shoot it one time?

Lol, I don't know about that. I'm not sure if anyone would even want to buy them.

Um,
No, it should tear off...

Oh, they would...
But it wouldn't be professionally made.
Well, I'll have another think about what to use to make it stick to things. Maybe a small electro magnet or something.

Not the glue..
Then you can't have it stick ever again...

That was a good movie.

Well I think using glue would be a bad idea. For one thing, it wouldn't work fast enough, and I also don't want to leave glue marks everywhere.

How would you make every new piece you shoot off sticky?

Use sweets, I'd buy a candy shooter

Tape?
Tape is pretty much just plastic with glue on it...

Well for the sake of making this more doable, I might just have one single length of string which I use again and again. But if I was going to do it like the actual ones, then I could have some kind of cutting device to end each shot of webbing when I release the trigger. And to make the end of each shot stick to something, I could have whatever I'm going to use to make it stick placed along the string every few centimetres. That should work, though it would use a lot of whatever I'm going to use to make it stick to things.

The coiled string would stick to itself with the stuff every five meters.

Tape?
That's actually a really good idea! Obviously I can't expect it to hold my weight, but it could still be used to grab things. Im on my iPod right now, so it's awkward to write really long messages. I'll explain how it works tomorrow. (and I really think tape should work)
