Hi! I'm dancerlondon, and this is my resume to become a Scratch curator.
I have a whole lot of friends on scratch, and I've introduced 4 people so far to it. ( I will do more) their usernames are Yellowkitty4444, StormyArt, wreese2020, and I can't remember the other one's username.
I love cats, ponies and music, so if you went to my favorites and my projects, you would see those on there.
You asked for a theme for some of my favorites, and I came up with this: Happy, encouraging, feel good stuff.
I want people to be happy and friendly to eachother, and am sorry to hear about all the bullying going on. If you ever get a message saying that someone flagged me, please let me know what happened.
My best friends on scratch are Yellowkitty4444, RainbowDash500 and Kokolest who is leaving. );
So, if you will have me, I'd like to become a curator.
PS: if you think the job isn't right for me, can I have something else?
PPS: please message me if you get any ideas. Thanks!

Interested in applying to be a Scratch curator?
We choose curators that represent the diversity of the Scratch Community - girls, boys, gamers, storytellers, animators - Scratchers of all kinds! We especially like to choose Scratchers who have been helpful and contributing members of the Scratch community.
When applying to be curator, it's good to give some thought to the kind of projects you'd like to show. "Cool projects that most people have never seen!" is a nice idea, but it doesn't really give us a good sense of what you like and why. We want to know what makes a project interesting to you.
Try viewing the projects in your favorites, and see if you can find a theme that describes them. Talk about that theme in your post on this thread, and consider providing a few links to good examples of that theme.
For example, I really like projects that use sound input from the microphone to draw interesting designs on the screen. Here's an example of one that I recently added to my favorites: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/MitFan/874786

i don't know if i'm worthy enough to become curator but i'd still give it a try. i'm good at non scroller platformers and i keep an open mind for new & original ideas. i want to become a curator because i noticed many good, rather great projects go unseen... projects that other scratchers will enjoy go ignored and forgotten ...
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/gamer2012TEST/2419416 , this game has a story which unfinished because of its low views, lots of effort was put into it.
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/KittyFriendsAdmin_/2576859 , this project was dedicated to famous scratchers and some of them don't even know about it.
these are just two examples of the kinid of projects i'd love to curate if i were curator. please consider me becoming curator if you have the time, i'll try to be more active in the forums if i have too...

If I become a curator I would pick projects that show how to do something, like how to use a certain script if the new scratcher is having trouble with a certain project or if they want to use the script in a project of theirs. I now that there are plenty of helpful pages on the scratch wiki but there are some scripts that are important that aren't even mentioned on the wiki. It would change Scratch slowly, but surely. There would be fantastic projects on an hourly basis instead of daily maybe even minutely. That is why I want to become a curator, to help the community not myself.

Hello,
I am ziggyisawsome123 and I would like to become a curator. I would like to show the scratch community contests that are not well known. I always feel bad when I make a contest that nobody enters so I want to make sure no one else has to feel like that. I would also like to show the scratch community good art that no one is aware of. I have seen plenty of art that is amazing but not well known. Believe me, scratch is my LIFE but the most veiws I've ever gotten on a project is probably around 9-15. It makes me feel bad so I want to show the world projects that are amazing, but not well know. Personally, I am in 6th grade and teach scratch to a 7th grade class and I have taught many adults too. So I know what people like and I know scratch well. Please consider me as a curator.
Thank you! -ziggyisawsome123

I would like to be the scratch curator.
I would choose games that the makers worked hard on, not just some threw it together in an hour game. Games like this are hard to find, but they are still out there. I would also choose games and things that the scratch community seems to appeal to such as coloring or designing contests, and things like that. I would NEVER pick a remix unless it is by the person that orginally made the project, because if you remix somebody else's, and it's picked to be on the homepage, then you are getting credit for all of their hard work, and they deserve to get their project on the homepage. Also, I don't do bloody, rude or innapropriate projects. I just don't.
Thank you for possibly considering my being a curator!
I also have a few questions you might be able to answer:
- How long is a curator a curator?

Hey Scratchh team!
Me posting in this forum problably lets you know that I would wish to be a Scratch curator. When I started Scratch, I found out how hard it was to get many views on my projects. I wondered how all those people got front paged. I am going to take this expirience and use it to help me be a curator.
I will dive into the shadows and try to find users that would have the potensial to get high views and love its, but cannot because they are highly unkown. However, I will not just pick a project just because it has low views. I will choose projects that are good but unkown.
In Scratch, I games that are platformers, rpgs, have top-down views and just have good sprites, presentation and maybe sound.
I know lots of people have been requesting for this, and I know that I will problably not going to get in, but I think that I will benifit other Scratchers to a whole other level by doing this.
Thank you Scratch Team for listening!

(My 4th Attempt)
I would love to be curator!
I have been Scratching for 9 months (6 months on this account) and know lots about curating ever since my project Worm Bridges 2 was curated by Lunastar. Here are a selection of projects I might curate if I were curator: http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/169953
If I were curator:
1. I would never curate rude, violent or offensive projects. If the scratch team think that I have curated an inappropriate project, I will remove it straight away.
2. I would not curate projects that are already famous and have been frontpaged. I would like to give not so famous scratchers a chance to be frontpaged. It meant a lot to me when I was curated.
3. I will curate 1 new project every day.
Thanks for reading, and please choose me!

Please, I want to be curator!
1) I will curate projects related to timing, but I probably first need to delete all my favorites, since all my favorites are my own projects!
2) I will download the example projects in order to give scripts:
Example 1 has scripts:
Sprite1's scripts:
when [Sprite1] clicked set [Stopwatch v] to [0]Sprite2's scripts:
when flag clicked set [Startometer v] to [0] set [Stopwatch v] to [0] switch to costume [costume1 v] when [Sprite2] clicked if <[costume # v] of [Sprite2] = [1]> change [Startometer] by (1) switch to costume [costume2 v] forever if <(Startometer) = [1]> change [Stopwatch v] by (1) else set [Startometer v] to [0] switch to costume [costume1 v]3) I WILL be kind.

Hi, I am CatPerson. THis is about my fifth time applying. I would like to become a curator because I feel as if you are looking for those who are responsible and like many different Kind of projects. I may like Warriors and minecraft, But what I am looking for is projects that have good scripting and that someone put pride and effort into. I feel as if alot of people will do things challenging for them selves, but others will come along and say that It isnt good. This happens all the time with projects, even with me! Those are the kind of projects I would like to curate. I would like to give them a pat on the back and say. " It is good. " If someone made the same quality project as another person, but the difference was that one person had more troubles making it then the other. I'd curate that one because that means they put more effort into it. I hope you consider me as a curator. Even if not I will be looking for projects that are like that. because I am one of those people. It happens to me all the time.

I would love to be a Curator on the scratch home page! 5 Reasons why:
1: I would never curate any violent projects
2: I would curate projects that deserve to be on the front page
3: I wont curate my own projects
4: I wont curate projects that are on the front page already
5: I wont curate projects with 21 love-its or more
If your doubting my Reasons look at this gallery, it has all the projects I would curate http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/169954
Please consider
Yours sisterly UA
PS: Any time soon if possible

This seems like a really neat job. I think I'd like to apply. ^^
I think I would be a pretty good curator for a few reasons. First of all, I surf Scratch a lot, so I could find lots of projects I think would do well. Second, I wouldn't choose someone because they bribe me threaten me, or just are my friend. I'd like to see neat projects, specifically scrolling games or 'create a....' games on the front page. These projects would be ones that inspire me to make cool games, too, and ones that really don't get many views. I would like to represent diversity, as my teacher used to say. Thank you for considering my opinion. If there are better representatives out there, I totally understand.

I would like to become a curator. To improve my chances of attaining this elite rank in the Scratch hierarchy I will like to state that I have better judgment than everyone else, henceforth indirectly implying the inferiority of other people's judgment.
I promise to infect Scratch with tons of stickman projects. There will be so many that your creativity will implode. Please choose me as I promise to corrupt any creativity people once had, thanks.
