Re: Rainbow Studios

Okay, whatever the majority thinks of the inventory. As a storyline, hmm...

EDIT: I think it should be set in the past or the future. If it's the future, we could be technologically advanced, but the problem could be something to do with running out of a certain resource or maybe another World War, caused by some kind of misunderstanding. If it's the past, uh...

What if we made it so that you could open and close the inventory?  Then we would have more space to put enemies and it would make it easier to shoot the planes that fly really high up.

Sorry for the random question, but does anyone else notice a change to scratch's interface?  The website is starting to look like it was hacked...

In the top bar, there is some picture of some sort in the background of the homepage button.  And the welcome, Xenok  logout's background is blue.

Good idea but I like the World War III/ future idea better

You should post that on the inside joke topic on the TBGs. I'm signing off for today, now, guys.

Re: Rainbow Studios

How are we going to incorporate the storyline into the actual game?  Will there be small animations or something between the levels?

Re: Rainbow Studios

Okay, maybe I didn't completely sign off... I was thinking an introduction (Animation, words like Star Wars, whatever) on what happened so far, the first level, and while the next level is loading, an animation on what happens next (Like, "Yay, we defeated that thing!" Then they go somewhere off to face another challenge), another level, and so on

I just read it again; was that confusing?

Re: Rainbow Studios

Rephrasing to (hopefully) make it better:

At the beginning of the game, an intro is shown, either words or an animation, of the story so far (take my WW3 example). Then you play the first level, involving a problem shown in the intro. After that, while the 2nd level is loading, another animation is shown, introducing another problem or challenge. You complete that in the third level, then another animation, etc. That was the best way I could think of incorporating a storyline there.

Instead of having problems right away, what if we had background information while the first level was loading and then the animations for the first three levels (training exercise) were things explaining how to do it with a commander guy talking.

for the past you could have a time machine which breaks down and all the pieces could be scattered around. The era could be one which superstition was big so they can mistake our gadgets for gods or amulets of good fortune. Like Greek,Roman or Egyptian time

Then words or a couple of pictures would work instead. I think wolfdude's idea is pretty good, too...

Maybe...

I REALLY don't like the 60 second rule. But it makes it fun on the TBGs because... well, lost the train of thought there.
