I am getting the Wii U when it comes out, and it can play Wii games. I also have a PS2. I am very interested in the game Okami.
The game was originally made for the PS2 in 2006, and was ported to the Wii in 2008. For those who have played this game, which version is better? Should I get the PS2 version or wait until the Wii U comes out and get the Wii version?

I only ever rented it, but I found the Wii version fine.

There's that paper texture in PS2, but it gives it that "Special" Visual Feeling.

I've only played to Wii version, but the only difference is graphics and controls. However, the PS2 graphics look horrible, and the graphics are one of the best parts of this game.
This game is truly amazing.

Don't have PS3.
And most people don't find the Wii version horrible. There's actually a decent crowd that prefers it (painting is a central part of the game, and painting with motion is much better than painting with an analog stick; imagine if you had to use the D-pad in Mario Paint).

It's also in the Wii version (although less prominent, but you've got to give Ready at Dawn credit; when they were going through the source code it was in 4 different languages, and was really complicated to get; they probably had to do it from the ground-up).

No they don't. They just aren't as colorful or sharp. In fact, some have argued the PS2's visuals are superior because they contain more effects and could be considered truer to the Japanese art style.
