Shade sticks a stick into the ground and steps on it with his boot. He whistles and a small dragon comes flying to him. It lands on his shoulder and Shade begin walking. He was going to a small town. The town had been burned and a few people were standing there, trying to rebuild their village. Shade just stood and watched. "What a horrible world it is now..." He mutters to himself. Shade whispers something to his dragon and it flies off. Later, Palandir (Where ever he is,) sees the dragon. It drops a piece of parchment on the ground and flies away.

The parchment reads:
Palandir,
     Where I am, something is causing great destruction. Every town or village I see is burnt or in ruins. I need to see you. Meet me at the Tower of Illusions on Sunday morning.

I thought I made a character. I guess I did not.

For my wizard ID, this will be what I wrote:

Anyway, continuing...
"That sounds like a fearsome creature.  You say you couldn't find it in any other books?"  Well, I remember a friend of mine who might know what it was."

He teleports away, and reappears with Caldis, a fellow light-magician, next to him.  "She was at the Magical Animals class longer than I was...maybe she can tell us what this is."

Palandir snaps his fingers.  "The Cammulund (hand-monster)!"  Of course!  I just now figured out what those letters at the top meant, they were slightly faded.  The Cammulund is a new breed of troll that just started appearing in Palandor (distant land, has nothing to do with me), but I didn't find the connection until now."

"I suppose so.  They were a new breed of troll, so anything could have happened.  I mean, the Cammulundrim (plural of Cammulund) could be slow and clumsy like normal trolls..."

Palandir looks up.

"...Or fast and dangerous like the one right behind you!"

Suddenly, the creature reappears and punches Shade, who goes flying across the room and crashes through the window on the other side.  Palandir sends him a barrier spell that will break his fall.

In doing this, he has mistakenly turned his back on the Cammulund.  It grabs him and attempts to throw him out the window, but he teleports back in and uses an ice spell on it.

The Cammulund breaks out of the ice almost immediately, but now Palandir has a plan.  Caldis shines a bright light into the creature's face, while Palandir whacks it on the head with his staff.  Furore then uses her mental abilities to take control of it.

Mazi, a new student at the school, was, in the meanwhile, completely lost, and popped right in to that very room. Seeing the black puddle, she gaped. "What happen here?" she said, mainly since she came from a more tropical area, new to this language.

We're not at the school, this is 3 years later at the Tower of Illusion.

Palandir tells Furore to mind-control Mazi so she will speak proper English.

Shade has partially recovered, but is showing signs of acting like the Cammulund itself.  If they can bring him back to his senses, he could tell them more about the monster's behavior.

Shade starts trying to strangle Palandir and his eyes only show their whites. Palandir tries to cast a spell but for some reason he seems tired as if he has been completly drained of mana.
