I was just confirming, so that no one can say it‘s an impersonator.

You guys are all acting like it's the most important/difficult thing in your life. Seriously, it's easy. I haven't actually bothered telling them but all my friends know, I watch it with my sister and I'm sure they've caught on by now.
Oh so much this. Seriously guys, it's not even something that you need to announce. My family knows, but just because they've seen me watching the show. They think it's silly and that's that. It's only a big deal if you make it one. (Not that some peoples' parents aren't different than others.)

I think so too - I wasn't making a big deal of of my case. You're pretty right in that there's no need to "announce" being a brony.

Also when the Bronycon Documentary comes out, if you see this tween girl in a Fluttershy "yay" shirt with brown hair and a mom with short red-brown hair that's walking with her, that's me.

I don't think your parents care as much as you think they do. I mean, if it was a different show, unless you really wanted to buy something or go to a place related to it, would you tell them? It doesn't really matter whether they know or not if you're not planning to do some big thing with it.

My mom knows I'm a brony, but explaining it to my dad would be hard. If he knew, he might ask if I liked other kids' shows now. Also, he might tell my grandma too and all those years I've spent trying to convince her I'm not young anymore will crumble under my feet. He could make me show her my Rainbow Dash drawing as well.
Maybe I can tell him after I show him the drawing. He hasn't seen it yet, even though it's on clear display in my room.
Eh, I guess I'm just a bit too paranoid. I'm wide-open and willing to let everyone know I'm a brony at school, but at home I won't even tell my dad (although my brother already knows).

You really don't need to tell your grandma... I mean, it's not like it's some huge thing that will change your life forever. If it was another TV show intended for women, like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, would you feel the need to confront your whole family? Also, except in the case of your grandma maybe, I doubt people will care as much as you think they will (see: the entire second half of Read it and Weep), unless they're the type that are really big on being a man and also possibly nurse a lifelong hatred of My Little Pony.

My parents are divorced, so they live in separate houses. I live with my dad.

Exactly. Since EQD is spotlighting said plushie, it's expected to be good enough for crazy bronies to spend thousands of dollars on it
You could always try to make one yourself too I probably would fail at it though, I'm horrible at sewing.
