Scratch would be better if it could support .mp3 files. With .wav, the quality is poor and our projects are often above 5 MB. It takes a lot of time to load on the web. Also, it is bad for the 56k internet users.
The sound quality will be better and the loading time much faster. We will not need to convert any file. So, it would be easier for everyone!

Scratch already can compress sounds. "Extras", "Compress sounds...", then pick a quality.

and some of the old songs downloaded from it have DRM, so it can't be used. But the songs downloaded now don't. so they can.
