Have you considered asking someone to make music? I know several Scratchers on here that are great at chiptune/8-bit stuff.
But that would probably take too long, so I'm going to suggest going to newgrounds. It's not too hard to find good 8-bit musicians, I have some favorites who specialize in game music. But most of the good stuff costs. 
Newgrounds is free, and there aren't as many copyright restrictions. You should start by looking there.
