This has almost definitely been posted in Announcements, but I for one hardly ever check there so I'll summarize the changes.
- Your friends' newest projects now have a little area. Hopefully, this encourages people to be a little more selective about their friends (I only friend people if they have supported me with a remix, multiple positive comments, or both.)
- I think there is a new "Featured User" thing where it shows [user]'s Newest Projects. Right now that user is Cheddargirl for me, but I don't know if this is specific to each user or not (it could be a randomly selected person from your friends list)
- Projects from Scratch Design Studio is also a new add. Presumably the SDS has many branches (like the Rectangles gallery where all your sprites must only have been made with the Rectangle tool) that are all in the spotlight.
That's all for now, but it's nice knowing that Scratch is starting to get a little more personal and a little less focused on cats, hamsters, other small mammals, etc. What next? Personalized user pages?

That's not correct. I was chosen as curator for this week, and, as a curator, my three most recent favorites are shown on the front page under the channel 'Projects Selelcted By (insert username here)'. The curator position is changed about every week or so. It's one of Scratch's new website implementations (read more here: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=17464).
