it's sad because it was true.
like every Dreamworks movie, every turn of the plot was predictable, the jokes were stale, just lacked any emotion at all.

Re: Kung Fu Panda?

No, because I hate it
It makes no sense at all.
Okay, I can understand a cheetah and *maybe* a monkey being able to do karate (Not in real life, in a cartoon) only because they are probably physically strong and fit (?)
But a snake?  A bird?! An obese panda? A GRASSHOPPER?!?! I don't think so!
I don't actually watch it that much (I can't believe I actually watch it all) so I might have kung fu cast wrong but whatever

Re: Kung Fu Panda?

Why are you making a topic to hate about it?   Anyway, this is gonna cause a flame war, once fans come along.

If you want something to do while Scratch is down, check out tbgs.tk! It's the new version of the (closed) Scratch TBGS, run by Scratchers! I'm going to spend most of my time there, anyway.

Actually, aside from the panda, I believe the other animals all represent a certain part of the martial art.
They aren't all based on this but it's safe to say this is where the idea came from. Also, it is a praying mantis.

I thought the movies were decent, but not anything amazing.

EDIT: Here's a review by some people which actually practice Kung Fu which review it positively, and apparently Praying Mantis style and Monkey style are apparently real.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

I saw it as an almost Pixar-quality film, but I guess that's just me.

Re: Kung Fu Panda?

I liked Kung Fu Panda.

Never seen the sequal, and I don't plan too.

Saw the show, didn't like it.

You lived a good four years, Scratch 1.4... May you rest in peace...

Re: Kung Fu Panda?

I only watched it because of all the hype.
...around three months ago.
...after being forced to watch the sequel in maths.
...yeah, bad idea.
And even then I didn't leave because it was a small caravan with my family-orientated grandparents.

It was ok, but the sequal... ugh...
Words cannot describe how awful it was.

Sorry - but this forum is for sharing things that you find inspiring...not for ranting about things you do not.  Try and accentuate the positive things in life  smile
