Good start! I recommend moving away from Google Sites as you learn HTML and CSS, but Google is a good place to start.  smile

Thanks! Text based programing languges are a bit hard for me to learn but I'm hoping to get there some day. Since the site is like a blog, I figured Wordpress would be a good next step.

I think it was 9.99 (I'm puppy's sibling and I've used the same domain service).

Re: www.puppymk.net

Is Dreamhost good as just a domain registrar (without web hosting)?

Re: www.puppymk.net

If you are after a proffesional looking website there is no point in building it fromthe ground up in pure HTML and CSS. I suggest get some hosting with a MySQL database and install Wordpress or Drupal (or any other content management software you fancy) and then make your site with a good template. That is what 90% of websites do.  smile

I could do that but I'm not really that concerned about the website being professional and I've heard that MySQL is a pretty difficult language.

MySQL isn't very hard.
It is much simpler than many other languages.
It's almost like English.

I would say so. No problems so far (meaning approx. 2-3 months)

With a content management program like wordpress you dont even need to know MySQL as long as you have PHPMyAdmin you can create a database and just tell wordpress the details and it will do the rest... Easy!  smile

I'm actually not using HTML [I'm bad at programing except for scratch!]. I'm basicly using the attach thingy.
