Rooting.
I've just rooted my Kindle Fire and I'm planning on installing a Ice Cream Sandwich ROM. It's basically just jailbreaking for android devices.
It is legal of course.
Discuss rooting of devices here. What have you rooted and how did it go?

I like having access to all the files on my jailbroken iPod with iFile. It gives me the ability to cheat in some games lol. You can do similar things on Android.

I want to jailbreak my iPad but my school made me sign a contract saying that I wouldn't jailbreak it.

There is a Jailbreaking software that allows you to dual boot Android on an iOS device. If you then Root the Android OS, you'll have rootception.

Installed/flashed a ROM called AOKP by Team Kant on it as well as TWRP recovery and I'm happy with how it has turned out
