Okay, nevermind on making a map for the server. Making an SG map is haaarddddd.

Are you going to call it ScratchGames?

When you click it, if the games are about to start you'll be teleported in and if you hit it when the games are running you'll be added to a waiting list and join the next game automatically. I think it resets the arenas and does it all for you and stuff.

Also I think you should use the 2 Vareide maps, and maybe find some others hanging around on the mc forums.

One thing I can't figure out though is being able to have multiple different arenas that you can play... Right now there's just one, and it's the only one you can play.

Maybe switch between them day to day I guess.

1. anywhere between a 500 and 1000 block diameter circle would be fine... or any other dimensions if you want.  Doesn't really matter.
2. nope, anything is good
3. the hg plugin puts goodies in the chests
4. yeah you can hide some chests and traps around the map

He's probably using the SurvivalGames plugin, which automates it for you. 

By the way, I tested it out and 1000 block dia seems much too big.

I think 16 chests would be good (16 players). They'd be arranged around the map so it's hard to just memories them all and go from one to another, as it'd take so long.

sponges dont do anything
redstone is for like circuts and stuff; you can create many different kinds of machines like elevators and cannons
sticky pistons can push and pull the block in front of the wooden part. the difference between regular pistons and sticky pistons is that regular pistons cant pull

Infinity: Bow can shoot again and again and doesn't use any arrows
Punch: Arrows shot by bow knock players back
Aqua affinity: Not sure.
Respiration: Lets you breathe longer underwater
Feather Falling: Take less fall damage.
Fortune: Get more stuff by breaking any of these: Giant Mushroom Block, Leaves, Coal Ore, Lapis Ore, Diamond Ore, Redstone Ore NOTE: Does not work on Gold and iron ores.
Silk touch: Get the actual Block, for ex. Ice (Currently doesn't work, will be readded in 1.3),Glass, Glass Panes, Giant Mushroom Blocks, Coal Ore, Diamond Ore, Lapis Ore, Redstone Ore Grass Blocks (Awesome!)


Note: IF you have both silk touch and Fortune on a pick, the Fortune doesn't work because the Silk Touch takes priority.
