People will be able to look at how the block was made...

if <(answer) contains a swear word> say [Don't cuss.] else say [Yay.] endBut still, I don't like the idea of an inappropriate language block because it may create disrespect, especially by translators since they'd have to translate swear words into their foreign language.
Umm... The workaround wont work because it would need to have a list of swears in-game.

Imagine 'Scratch' was a profanity.
Users could type:
S.C.R.A.T.C.H
SCR_ATCH
5RA7CH
SSCCRRAATTCHH
etc.they can do that on the forums that is the point of moderation this is just a back up it does the basics
Or....
CHlCKEN
(you can use a lowercase "l" instead of an I)

I swear I would like that.

Yeah, in the German forums the censor is a bit overly aggressive.

There are swear words in the source of ScratchR.

What makes that inappropriate?

What about the Scratch Wiki? Suppose a user types up "*!" in huge brown text on his user page. There should be an edit filter to prevent swear edits (edits containing bad words). On Wikipedia there is such a filter (filter 384). I agree.

I think that there should be a aware word block with translations like this:
ask [Type your message here:] and wait when gf clicked if <Inappropriate language is found in :<answer>> say [Hey, no inappropriate language!] for (2) secs end

Replace 'Scratch' with a profanity of your choice.
There are many ways to circumvent filters.

This would be an Operators Block.

There are lots of ways to beat that system, so it‘s useless.
My opinion.
But they implemented it in the forums. They thought it was useful enough to put it in the forums.

Yes, because there is a system in the forums to do it -_-

I support, I actually was going to suggest something like this. My idea was that all cloud variables/lists would have an automatic curse filter that could be turned on or off.

I don't think the blocks would be a good idea because someone might not use the block and therefore skip censoring.

I think that if people were trying to do inappropriate things to the lists, they would just use the delete all block. if you saw a bad word on the list, you could ban them. i think that you should have parental controls, so that you can ban all editing, except for yourself , have only you and your friends be able to edit, everyone be able to edit, and then be able to specify editing to adding, deleting, or veiwing. then if you see someone act up, you can blacklist them
