Claw Machines

I swear those things are rigged  roll
It is so easy to waste money on those....
I wasted 15 dollars trying to get a Fluttershy Plushie once.
Never got it.

I've only ever won, like, twice. They're hard.

Re: Claw Machines

I won once. I like the ones that have two different compartments, one you're guaranteed to win and another you're not. :3
My mum talked to a guy who worked with one of them and he said after every like £20 the Claw was guaranteed to get you a soft toy.

Re: Claw Machines

I remember winning so many stuffed animals from playing claw machines in a trip from Florida. My personal favorite claw machine win would be my stuffed giraffe, it was deeply buried among the other stuffed toys but I managed to get the claw to grab around the torso to lift it out.

Sometimes I think it depends on the machines; from experience, I find that machines with large claws are difficult to play because the claw isn't very strong to pull up a toy, and that smaller claws seem stronger.

Re: Claw Machines

Oh, I remember now. I got three things all from the bowling alley...
I won a creepyish reindeer, a cool frog that my dog later destroyed, and some other thing I don't recall what it was, I gave it to a little kid
Then it was awkward because Random Little Kid's friend's mom tried to get me to win one for her kid, but I couldn't seem to get one again and she got all annoyed with me

Once, when I was little, I think I opened the small door and found a plush monkey just sitting there.  yikes

Re: Claw Machines

The one I was trying to get the Fluttershy plushie at was one of those giant claws. There's always a huge pile of toys right next to where the thing drops them down at, because the machine always grabs them and drops them right next to the hole thingy. I mean, the Fluttershy plushie's leg was in the drop down hole, but she never actually went in.  sad  There's also one at the mall that has like footballs and soccer balls in it. (I never play it, because it's two dollars a try.)

Re: Claw Machines

I remember winning a parrot stuffed toy from one of those. However, it got stuck somehow within the claw so I had to waste another dollar just move the claw and free it. -_-

they kinda are.... but they're okay if there's something good that you win.

They used to be fun, like you say. But lately, I'll waste my money elsewhere or just make my own stuffed animal, it's more of an experience that way.

I'm not a big Wal-Mart shopper (I try to avoid it as much as possible) but the last three times I've gone into my local one (Spread out across two or three months) I always see the same 70 year old guy putting money into the claw machine. A weird version or excessive gambling? Or does he have some sort of a collection for his 6 granddaughters? I'll never know.  tongue

Re: Claw Machines

There's one at a movie theater near me that has mameshiba and pokemon in it. I would play it, but I always have to go there with my family so I don't have time  sad

Re: Claw Machines

I'm so terrible at those, but once somebody in my family, can't remember who, got two animals in one. I still have the cute little smiling stuffed vampire holding a pumpkin that I got.  lol
