I don't find that size matters. As long as I can see what is says I'm fine.

I just don't really like how the keyboard is so compact on laptops.

Oh the keyboard. Yeah, I can understand that. But I get used to it and I tend to find desktop ones are too sticky-outty. O.o Probably just the ones I've tried.

Perhaps. I'm just used to how my keyboard is  smile

From what I've heard, Lenovo and Apple make some of the best laptop keyboards in the business. Personally I prefer Lenovo's over Apple's.

I got a small taste of a 13" MacBook Pro that belonged to one of my friends (right now he's saving up for a Retina MBP) The tracpad was great, (although somewhat broken, the left click did not work, right click did) but the keyboard just didn't feel right to me. The Lenovo keyboard I tried out on a laptop sitting around in my school's computer club room, (while it was just turned off) and it was just great. The keys are curved in to comfortably hold your fingers. The Apple keyboard certainly wasn't bad, (probably better than most laptop keyboards) but not as good as Lenovo.

Re: New Retina Macbook Pro

It's a nice desktop-laptop, the best for most things, really. Retina [and huge] display, great sound, all the ports you need and is shiny and durable. If I was making a movie, photographing or wanted a laptop to replace my desktop, I'd love it. Otherwise, I like my more portable [yet not retina] Mac Book Pro 13" that's handy for my traveling.

If I ever get Final Cut Pro, the first thing I'm doing is buying the sleek new MBP.  smile

Back when I had a PC laptop stroking down the side of the tracpad scrolled. (And zoomed in if a game could do that)

Yes, that's one of my favourite part about Windows, how the pointers can change. Something that you can't do on OSX, although you wouldn't need to anyway, unless you were looking to create a theme or something.

But ugly for bitmaps looks something like this.

I think that looks fine.  neutral

Daaang, the Mac pointers are hideous though.

I actually like the minimalistic look. The rest of the Aero pointers in Windows are fine, but just the zooming pointer is disgusting. With Lion 10.7.4, there are new high res pointers.

There's nothing minimalistic about the mac pointers?
I mean, if pointers could BE more minimilastic than the average one is, they aren't.

I also hate the loading cursor on Aero.

Can you link me to a picture of all the cursors on Macs? I think I looked it up and found most of them but I'm not sure.

And I don't mind that either.

Yeesh.

Okay I dislike:
The huge circle ones. (The cross one, the blue checkered, and the green +)
The little one with a document page under it.
The crosshair one.
And all the ones with a straight bar and an arrow pointing some direction. (As well as the solid plus that looks similar to those)

I've never seen the one with the document under it (I don't' like it either), the huge circle ones I barely see ever, and the crosshair ones are just ok. The window resize pointers actually look better than the windows ones. Just an opinion.

@16Skittles: Do you mean the Retina MBP or a different Mac or a PC?  hmm
