Daniel's fine. Sounds more like a human name though...

Well as I said, maybe the baddies collect people from many different planets and force them into the games. So the main character could be human.

Do you think you could maybe do the character in sketchup, too? I'll do all the animating if no one else joins.

I'm not sure. Possibly. Maybe we could get models of people from the 3D Warehouse.

We could get models from the warehouse...
@MrMonkey- Can you model people?

Hey guys, I will be gone for a week, so if you can just post the script and the models here by the time I'm back I'll be able to animate them and get the voices in.
@calebxy- if anyone else wants to join just let 'em, we can use all the talent we can get!
Thanks!

Ok, sure thing. I'll try to have the script finished by then. I've only written about a page and a half so far.

I've still only written 3 pages, but I'm extremely very happy with the script so far.

I was thinking, for the sake of making everything easier, we could just forget about the coliseum floating high in the air and so Daniel has to go back and shut down the engines. We could just have it so that he simply escapes as planned, with the coliseum on the ground. It would make the animation shorter, so it'll probably only be about 5-7 minutes, instead of more like 10.

But every good story has a twist!
Anyway, I really suck at SketchUp. Maybe, if GSK can import .obj or .stl files, I could try using Blender.
Edit: It doesn't.

Um.. why sketchup? Why not Blender? (which is actually used for animation, while sketchup is just architecture)

I think you'll like what I've come up with anyway. I've finished the script. Would you like to read it?

If you have a list of characters I could do a voice...
Offline
Excellent. There are a few characters that need voices. I can do the voice for Daniel. There are I think only two guards that speak, and the boss at the end.
Offline
You want an accent for one of the guards?

That's a good idea! You could voice one of the guards in a normal voice, and the other with an accent. That's what you meant, isn't it?

Hey guys!
@ scratchisthebest and Andres-Vander, can you animate using Blender? If you can I'm sure that I can find some way to export and import the models.
@jji7skyline, that would be awesome!

Would you like to read the script now?

Sure! Post it here if you can!

Agreed. BUT...
SketchUp:
• Easy to Use
• Free
• Can't Animate
• Simple Models Only
• Bad Rendering
Blender:
• Free
• Open Source
• High Detail Modelling
• Good Rendering, especially Cycles
• Hard to use
• Rendering is slow
Blender really stands out.

Not necessarily. It depends what you mean by simple. I've seen really amazing models made in SketchUp.
