Thank-you for taking part in the Scratch Cat's Hideout 2 BETA testing. I have seen enough of how the system will work and I am confident that when the real advert thread 2 comes out it will be great! Your projects will still remain stored here so that they do not lose out on views, but we will no longer be accepting any more.
Thank-you.

Addictiveness 6/10 Above Average
Programming 4/10 I know how frustrating making scrolling plat-formers can be, but this was simply too basic.
Graphics 2/10 Pretty much everything is a gradient-filled rectangle. Only the rocks and the title screen stand out.
Originality 4/5 It's fairly unique, but for the extra marks it needs more original level designs.
Ease of Use 5/5 Very simple!
Difficulty 2/5 Not controlled at all. The boss battle is near-impossible if you are on the ground, but you can slide under it and not have to face it making it very easy if you get in the ground.
Sound 1/5 No sound effects and bad music.
Overall Experience 20/50
Positive:
The pixel idea was great, but the execution was poor. I liked how simple it was, and it was quite addictive.
However...
I had to turn my speakers off after only a couple of loops of the song. Also, as I said before the difficulty was unbalanced. There was no control as to where the player could and could not go. Also, the level designs seem boring. It's the same old gradient-filled rectangles, and even the colour scheme looks poor. You bounce on all of them, without anything new to do in the game. Well, there's the boss battles but it wasn't brilliant.

Addictiveness 5/10 It's hard to score this category because it's a demo, so I'll base it on would I like to play further? Maybe. I will mention what would make me want to stay playing later on, but the problem is that the levels seem to be lacking much in them Whilst the graphics are fantastic, if you were to remove those graphical elements you'd end up with just a load of empty rectangular spaces joined together by a few gaps.
Programming 6/10 I bet programming the effects and some other things took a lot of working out, but your bare levels bring this score down as creating them would have been quite easy.
Graphics 9/10 My only complaint is that it's hard to see objects, and really they should stand out a lot in the light, and be invisible in the dark. Instead, you can always see them at pretty much the same visibility, so in the dark you could tell they were there, but because they did not stand out enough in the light I never realised it was something usable. It was also hard to tell what changes had been made when using a switch, an indicator on screen may have been wise with a small arrow.
Originality 5/5 As far as top-down games go, this is one of the most unique ever!
Ease of Use 2/5 The problem was with the keys. When I made my Rayman 4 game for example, I made it so that you would only ever use the keyboard and never the mouse for anything, however on here your hands are all over the place. In the menu, sometimes you press X, other times you press SPACE, then in the menu you use the arrows to change your selection then in-game you use E,S and the CURSOR! Perhaps you need to utilize each key better. Also, the difficulty of finding things in each level made this harder as well.
Difficulty 4/5 It's a game that anybody could enjoy, but you don't get full fives because the difficulty needs raising just a little bit more.
Sound 5/5 The sounds were amazing, nothing more said.
Overall Experience 20/50 This would be higher with the full game finished, so don't get discouraged. I believe it was too early for you to come to get reviews for this, but I will gladly review it again another time.

The Level Game
by Benjamin2
_________________________________________
Addictiveness 9/10 It seriously makes you want to continue playing, but the lack of levels working online put you off playing, as many cannot be bothered to download it.
Programming 7/10 The programming is simple and effective, but it loses points on not working online properly.
Graphics 6/10 1 point above average.
Originality 4/5 It's like the idiot test, but the many features make this original.
Ease of Use 3/5 Whilst playing is simple, the complicated menu is too overwhelming, perhaps a menu which leads to sub-menus would be better? Plus, the pop-ups that appear block some of the buttons occasionally.
Difficulty 5/5 It's spot on. It starts easy, then gets harder.
Sound 2/5 There are no sound effects, and the music became very repetitive. Still, the music was good enough to last the first few loops.
Overall Experience 40/50 It doesn't work online, but it works brilliantly offline. However, there are glitches where if you click PLAY GAME to early, some of the menu buttons will not hide. However, this is a game that needs tweaking rather than mass-changing, so don't worry.

Angry Birds
by sportsdude6
___________________________________________________
Addictiveness 3/10 It's hard to enjoy a game which is bad all around. Still, it's a nice effort.
Programming 6/10 For the shooting mechanism, you deserve an above average score, but it's still too glitchy, and the structure will not even break when you hit it.
Graphics 1/10 At least we know what things are meant to be.
Originality 1/5 Clearly a copy of Angry Birds without any new features.
Ease of Use 3/5 It looks simple, until you struggle to work out how the bird works and end up shooting anywhere. The controls for that need improving.
Difficulty 1/5 It's low for offering no challenge.
Sound 0/5 There are non.
Overall Experience 8/50 It's okay in the sense that you can recognise some characters and you can sort of shoot the bird; the game is too glitchy, there are no levels or challenges and finally there is a lack of extras such as sound and decent graphics.

Plot Quality 2/10 I liked the idea of it switching between scenes in that way, but whilst the structure wins you 2 points, sadly each scene is confusing, and here seems to be no storyline in each moment.
Character Development 4/10 Whilst the stereotypical stupid stick-men were okay, they never said nor did anything funny.
Graphics 3/10 Poor, but the screen-changing looked good, but would have been better with a higher quality image.
Sound 3/5 The voices were very difficult to hear, I watched it three times before I understood what was being said. Also, the background music was al-right but not enough to balance out the speaking problems.
Bonus for Other 5/15 The idea to have comedy moments switching with cuts like that was good, but it was poorly executed.

The Impossible Quiz
by fulldroid
_____________________________________________________
Addictiveness 8/10 It's very addicting! However, it loses points on the fact that there's a lack of excitement which appears in other games similar to this. Maybe speeding it up with timers or adding some comedy may sort this out, as the current style is quite bland.
Programming 9/10 It was probably fairly straight forward to program, but the lack of any glitches and the fact that it only needs to be simple help bring this up.
Graphics 6/10 They are quite simple, but not bad.
Originality 3/5 Not only do these type of games exist, but you have not added any features to separate this from the others.
Ease of Use 5/5 Very simple to use!
Difficulty 2/5 Way too easy. You would have got an extra point if the game was not called The Impossible Quiz!
Sound 3/5 Average music with no sound effects.
Overall Experience 35/50 It needs tweaking, and certainly extra levels with greater difficulty! Also, the style brings this down as I mentioned in the first part.

Addictiveness 9/10 This could keep me playing for hours- but without a timer or a moves-counting system to beat other scratchers with, it begins to lose it's addictiveness after some truly great minutes.
Programming 9/10 The programming is great, glitch-less but to get full marks you need some of those extra features mentioned above.
Graphics 10/10 Spot on! However, if you got them from google then this score would plummet.
Originality 4/5 It's the recreation of a classic game executed well, but for being a recreation it is not allowed to score the maximum points.
Ease of Use 5/5 Very simple to play!
Difficulty 4/5 Whilst it's too hard for some, it's fun for others! Perhaps a way to increase/decrease the number of tiles you have to unscramble, and maybe even a button which for ONE TIME ONLY allows you to change the colour of one tile without it affecting the others around it. It's good at the end when an amateur player has only one left to fill and gets frustrated.
Sound 0/5 There are non.
Overall Experience 44/50 A brilliant game, but without the sound effects nor the lasting appeal it needs some work.
TOTAL 85/100

Circles vs. Sticks: Issue 1
by Coolhogs

Animations
Plot Quality 7/10 The plot is about a rock-paper-scissors game, which is nice and simple, but a little more expansion is needed to get those last 3 points.
Character Development 8/10 Because this is a comic, and this style of project does not need any character development then I'll let you off with 8, but maybe if you could try adding more characters and perhaps give each one something funny they do to make them remembered by viewers.
Graphics 3/10 Whilst I see where you are going with the simplicity style, it's way too basic.
Sound 0/5 I'll deduct 5 points off the possible total so that it does not affect the percentage you get.
Bonus for Other 7/15 It's quite funny, but really a comic should have a story, some good characters and instead of a simplicity-stick-man style, a more 60s type art would have been better. This really shouldn't be a comic if you don't want it to look like one.

Yes, I'll improve the plot, the graphics, and the character development as I go on with the comic. But as you see, I'm not quite a good artist...

why don't i make the next issue- and I call it Borrego6165's one-off special edition, then you can use that as a template and make your own comics after that.

Song Choice 10/10 Brilliant song choice!
Graphics 6/10 Whilst the drawings were nice, the jittery animation and the still moments which went on quite long bring this score down. There were long moments were there was no movement on screen. Also, some-things could have easily made smoother. Whilst I respect you not making certain things smoother, the sun could have been a sprite which hides behind the mountain's sprite, and the sun could have smoothly changed colour into orange before setting. As I said before, the drawings were nicely done.
Story 7/10 The characters and the location are good, however what happens there is brought down because of the still moments which went on too long. If they had of been doing something for the whole thing it would have been better.

AI Conversation

_______________________________________________________
Difficulty of Task (Is it worth running?) 5/10 Well, to make an AI chat system is relatively simple, however for entertainment aspects it gains points as that's what it's worth running for.
Understandability 6/10 It's easy to understand! However, you lose points because the AI doesn't seem to understand the player too well, as it does not know enough to make it fully enjoyable. Still, there's enough to get you an above-average score.
Ease of Use 5/5 Very simple to use.
Graphics 3/5 They are average.

I've decided on a name for the Circle, and the Stick in that one... The first one...
Their names? The circle is Eve, and the Stick is Max. The name is original, and so is the first one, in which Eve, and Max are featured.
Like it?
