WeDo Hub Driver for Raspberry Pi Debian

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to make a remote control car using my Raspberry Pi, Scratch and a wireless keyboard and more importantly then I want to teach my Year 6 (10-11yo) children at school to make one.

I've got the code and it works perfectly in windows.  However  I can't do it with my Pi because the hub won't interact.  Basically I need the necessary drivers.  I've come across a version for Ubuntu but it tells me it will only work with i386 and not armel, a reference I assume is down to hardware chipsets.

Is there anyone out there who can help me with a version of that would work on the Raspberry Pi?

This is the original version of the driver I found for Ubuntu (download link) - http://ubuntuone.com/p/vp0/  and this is the page I found it on - https://lists.launchpad.net/scratch/msg00273.html

Re: WeDo Hub Driver for Raspberry Pi Debian

Hi, sorry I just found this post. Lego WeDo does work with Linux, at least one version of it does (the ubuntuone.com version you found). Just a few days ago I got this working with the Raspberry Pi. Well, with Alex Bradbury's help I managed to get it working with Scratch under Debian wheezy. In the next few days wheezy is going to become the recommended distro for the Raspberry Pi, and Alex is going to incorporate the changes we found into the Scratch that comes with the wheezy SD image. So when wheezy is up on the downloads page, grab that, and you should be able to drive WeDo with it.
