jslomba, I know you checked this topic out to change your sig, so how's the progress on drums for the songs?

Anyway, Lola I need to talk to you about this score of mine I linked you to earlier. It is important you post actively on this thread at the moment so I can sort out the arrangements for the song. It is pretty much complete save for the female interlude at the end. As you may have noticed, it's our first duet for a female and male singer (of course you will be singing the former and either hpotter or I the latter, since I don't think you'd like to sing this one, techno  ).

I need lyric ideas to work on the second verse at the moment for both the male and female vocalists (eight bars each) and possibly the male interlude (still left incomplete). If you have any suggestions for words, feel free to post them on this thread. It must follow the rhythm and meter of the first verse. And if you do think up a melody for the female interlude, please feel free to post.

I should in any case be done transcribing the song completely by around next week (still not certain as I'm going on vacation), and if so, when do you think you can record? Have you got that new mic of your's?

BTW, I've nearly finished tracnscribing another song. This is well on track to being a full-length album.

Sorry, maybe my memory's failing me, but why is it called 'Memories II'? (EDIT: lol, unintentional pun; just realised) Could you link me to the first one?

Oh, right.  In my opinion, you should just title the song "Memories", dicarding the homage to the previous incarnations, since outsiders won't really understand the relevance of the "II" or "III".

Sorry I haven't recorded my drum tracks yet, I didn't have a chance to record that weekend ad I've been on vacation. DIY, would you mind adding a list of songs ready to record on the first post?

Thought so, people wouldn't understand why is the III there and just "Memories" looks like a nicer title.

Memories II isn't even similar to the first. But both are meant to be about the same theme, iirc.

I would love to help with lyrics, but it's definitely not my strong point in music xD

Mic out of stock in local Argos >   But I'll record anyway. Have already got recorded the melody, but harmony needs working on.

Yeah, so we'll leave it as 'Memories' although I think there are a few songs out there with the same name.

We definitely should not scrap off some of the songs from the list just yet. We can do that once we've completely finished a particular song, which is why I keep urging everyone to record as soon as possible without delaying us. 

The quality of the song will only be determined by the final mix, so I propose we don't leave out any as some songs that we think may not be good could end up being a great song.

Glad to see you've finally recorded your tracks. Make sure that you record the two piano ballad tracks soon so that I can mix those too since I've done my tracks and techno's done his. 

As for a 10-12 song album, we don't need to restrict ourselves; if we're flooding with song ideas, there is no harm in raising the restriction.

Great!    In my opinion, the ones with the delay sound pretty good so we can use those.

Just out of interest, have you done a raw mix of some sort for any of your songs?

On your Untitled Duet Ballad in G, the beginning doesn't really suit the rest of the song, like the rest of the song is really structural, but the beginning is syncopated, and IMHO doesn't really suit the happy following of the verse.
