If you guys can, I'd use responsive/fluid web design for the site. If not, I would recommend making a mobile site for those of us who do most of their foruming on mobile devices.

The header link hover color you're looking for is #FBA939. Should take about 5 seconds to change.

Right now, it just makes it an underline, I'll try out the color.
Edit: I tried it out, but it doesn't really look good with the blue background.
Edit2: I uploaded it anyway. What do you think?

I like it, tbh. It looks better than just a plain underline to me.
EDIT: If anything, I'd get rid of the underline altogether. But it's really up to you guys.

Finally had a chance to take a moment and look at the code files. Where did the creation date, changelog and worker list go?
I'm making changes. Please don't work on it till I'm done!

Right. Changes complete. My changelog entry to style.css:
28 June 2012 11:05 GMT+00
Removed bold font-weight and underline text-decoration from links. Also changed the line between nav links from #FFFFFF to #149ACB ~ Sparks
If we could get into the habit of marking changes in the changelog at the top of each page, posting here to warn people which pages we're currently editing and then posting the changelog entry here I would appreciate it - I think it would help keep our progress coherent.
In the case of the style edits, I really like the changes, but I commented out rather than deleted lines that I removed.

I appreciate that you guys don't have access to the 2.0 site. Here's a screenshot of how the top bar looks for me: (I'm pretty certain I'm allowed to share this now )

Ooh... What's the folder icon for?
EDIT: Top bar looks much better now on the api2 site.

I've added three little dots to the Scratch favicon to show its the API not Scratch. Do people like it? (You may need to refresh a few times if the icon is cached).

I don't know, it doesn't really symbolize the API to well, tbh.

Here's another attempt I made. Its really hard to manipulate a 16x16 image, and I'm no graphic artist, but here's my attempt:
Hopefully you notice the arrows to either side of the 's'? I was aiming to sort of show the constant refreshing and updating of the images using a twist on the usual refresh symbol. Perhaps this could be made larger as the main site icon too, as its a bit too subtle in this small way, IMO.

I'd shrink and use the 'A' in the API logo as the favicon. It uses the same font as Scratch, but gives the site its own uniqueness.

I'm on holiday as planned and of course have very little access to internet and no FTP for some reason. Furthermore I am leaving in a matter of hours for an internet-less camp and will be completely isolated for 5 days. After all, they are holidays..
I love the changes you made to the site. Now, for the container, couldn't it be possible to make it completely resizable? What most sites do is split the container into 3 horizontal slices, as <top><middle><bottom>
The top is then split further into left, middle, and right. Left and right are of fixed width and represent the corners with images, whereas the centre part uses x-repeat for the top part of the border. The same goes for the bottom div.
Could somebody make a start on the site? It seems like we're all to timid to actually do something concrete

Found your 404 image on another site. http://www.gtricks.com/404-please
EDIT: what kind of trouble are you having, sparks?

I was wondering where it was from, thanks! I'll contact the site owner and ask their permisson for its use.
EDIT: I've asked the site owner whether we may use the image - explaining that its for an open-source non-profit project. Please refrain from using potentially copyrighted images and code for this project, guys!

Again, it was just a placeholder. xD
I'm not going to be used to the changelog thing, because usually, I just write my changelog into the SVN commit message, but I suppose I'll give it a shot.
This would probably mean I only edit when there is something major, because I don't want to have to write a whole bunch of stuff because I changed 1 color.

I can't believe I haven't posted here before, this sounds awesome!
Do you guys already have a domain figured out for the final product? Blue Cloud Productions, my company would like to sponsor a domain (scratchapi2.info, perhaps?) for you guys in exchange for a simple "Thank you" or "Credits" mention with out logo.
