Chat Room please!!
I Want The Creators Of This Site To Create A Chat Room So Users Can Communicate Easier. The Chat Rooms Would Have Moderators In Them And Would Be Completley Safe. The Style Should Be Like Msn But Safer. Please People Make This Work By Commenting On This Post. Thank You All For Listening

We have been over this topic in many posts in the past and the Scratch Team (Owners of site) are tired of people saying thay want to add a chat room to this site.First of all,there is not enough money to get enough moderators,admins,programmers for a chat room.Second of all,Scratch has forums so we can communicate already.A Chat room can crash the site because of traffic (and we already have traffic problems).Third of all,Forums is the part of Scratch in which we communicate with each other for the things we need.I think the Scratch website is fine the way it is and that is to much to ask for because it takes time and dedication to build something as farout as that.

This explains why there will never be chatrooms.
I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

That's the all-caps filter. When someone posts a message that has caps lock on the whole time, it changes it so that just the first letters are capitalized.
I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

No, there will be no chat room. The advantages of a SCRATCH chat room feature do not outweigh the disadvantages.

When scratch 1.4 comes out people can code their own scratch chatrooms.

If someone made a chatroom, there's one thing to watch out for; if it were used frequently by a large part of the Scratch community it may be hard to find the replies you want. But that's just a thought.
