I see a lot of projects that are on the most-viewed section that are like this.
- I quit!
- All my friends hate me!
- Nobody cares about me
- Im crying right now
- People are stealing my ideas!
- Im terrible at scratch!
Honestly, it just gets old to see people's personal arguments on the front page. Its too bad they are feeling down, but I don't think its necessary to share those with the entire community. Furthermore, some people deliberately try to get this kind of "I quit" business on the front page so they can have a ton of sympathy directed towards them.
I would like a way to stop those type of projects from reaching the front page, kind of like "Not for everyone". I can't flag these "Drama" projects because they aren't disrespectful or inappropriate. But personal problems should not be shared with everyone.
Also sometimes its hard to tell if a user is faking or not. What if the user is actually that depressed, and someone posts something like "Haha im not sorry for you, you're just trying to make people sad". It just makes things even more complicated, and gets more people involved. Then again, what if the user is faking? Then they are maliciously getting sympathy from and using the community.
Your thoughts?

Why not? Not all users know to stay away from such projects. When I first saw one, I took it seriously. Then I found that same user making 2, 3, 4 more and I no longer took it seriously. Furthermore, many younger users may be suckered in.
Its kinda not the best thing to have that kind of stuff floating around the most-viewed.

It probably offends people when their projects are marked as NFE or flagged down, too. My point is, the front page isn't the place for drama.

If they're genuinely quitting it's okay, in my opinion. It's hard to tell when a quitting project is real or if they're just doing it for attention though, and it's probably better to be safe than sorry by leaving it up.

Those projects are supposed to get marked as NFE. You could just flag it and leave a reason why you think it should get marked as NFE. Sometimes mods and ST members go through the sections and check out the projects to see which ones are okay and which ones are not, but if helps if you report it so the ST knows what's going on.
