Scratch always lags when rotating or stamping a sprite with brightness effects applied. This is especially apparent when the sprite in question is of large area.
I didn't know if this is a suggestion or a Bug/Glitches post, its kinda both. First of all Id like to know why this happens, and second id like to know if it can be solved in future versions of Scratch.

did you test it online or offline? because if it's present also in flash player, then it's a problem

I'm guessing the filtered costume isn't being cached (applying the effects every time something changes.)
