I haven't read the book but I listened to the radio series. I'll read the books pretty soon. Also beat the text adventure!

I read the first one and started to read the second one. My friend has the first three on audiobook and as physical copies but he insists on calling them silly names like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Phase Two. And he watched the movie on YouTube. I started to but got as far as the dolphin song, knew that would be the highlight of the movie and downloaded it off iTunes. I still have it. And then they started making me sing it on demand.

The movie isn't like, terrible.
I mean it's not the best movie ever but it's worth watching the whole thing.
(And I love the books but people acting like 42 is the best joke ever has gotten annoying.)

Yeah, I've been obsessed with it ever since I read it in June. I even quoted it when the physics teacher (rhetorically) enquired on the dimensions of the universe:
"Space," [the Guide] says, "is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space, listen..."
Discuss Hitchhikers Guide, Adams, and the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

42. I LOVE this series. I am on no 4, So Long and Thanks for All the Fish. Unfortunately, 3 & 4 have swears in them.
I finished reading Mostly Harmless a few days ago. I actually find the swears funny.

There's swearing you might not have picked up on in the first two
like in the second one when he's taking all the scrabble tiles out of the bag or whatever
and it spells
S H and the last to letters are left ambiguous

That was the original radio series. The books came later. I have the Primary Phase on my iPod.
